题目:Bilateral Haptic Teleoperation of VTOL Aerial Robotic Vehicles in Complex Environments

Applications of VTOL aerial robotic vehicles become increasingly popular in recent years. By integrating human operator’s intelligence in reasoning, decision making and navigation capability, teleoperation systems for the VTOL aerial robotic vehicles are capable of conducting many complex missions. With the assistance of the haptic feedback, human pilot can better perceive the states of the aerial robots, environments, operating objects and/or even navigation information, hence can better perform teleoperation missions in complex environments or situations without endangering the safety of aerial robots.

个人简介:Dr. Xiaolei Hou received the Bachelor of Engineering degree in automatic control from Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, China, in 2007, and the Master of Philosophy degree in Research School of Engineering, Australian National University, in 2010. In 2015, he is conferred Ph.D degree in Robotics and Computer Vision. He is currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow in Research School of Engineering, Australian National University.His research interests include haptic teleoperation systems, aerial robotics, mobile robot navigation, path planning and multi-agent systems.
